I can't agree more. All religions preach pretty much the same thing, love and peace between fellow neighbours, yet no one wants to practice it. It's sad. This is what causes most of our wars. We just can't seem to get along. One always has to ruin it for everyone else and say that their religion/faith is the "ONE TRUE faith" when in FACT no one really knows which one is really true. The only one that is true is the one that is true for you, not for someone else. But some are so stubborn and determined to "save" everyone they can. Save them from what??? I don't think they even know.

I care not if one is of a religon or not of a faith what irks me is while a individual has no faith or have faith in something (i'm completely advantageous with somebody who has a reliable have faith that there is not any God) I additionally get particularly aggravated how human beings look all so wanting to shoot down others who've believes or say something which yet another does not accept as true with. i became into born Catholic and that i think of there's a God, yet I actual have a deck of Shaman oracle playing cards and that i've got faith in a topic suggested as magic. being able to have faith or admire faith proves that somebody has progressed previous the primates we began as.

I was a Swedish-Lutheran, raised in a neighborhood with a predominant mixture of Orthodox Jews and Irish Catholics. My parents raised my brother and I to respect the beliefs and houses of worship of all people--as each was God's house.
I attended Catholic masses and Jewish Bar Mitzphas (sp?) with friends from the neighborhood--and they attended my Confirmation, and occasionally my Sunday Lutheran services. We all lived together in harmony--I forgot to mention my friends of the Episcopal, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian and other faiths. I don't know why people can't live in harmony in today's world--I'm sure that would be God's will--but He gave individuals free will...

See that would be nice, and I do tend to accept that everyone has a right to their own beliefs, but to answer your question, most people don't respect other faiths because very often those other faiths are trying to jam their beliefs down other peoples throats.
They are perfectly right to believe what they want, just leave everyone else to believe or not believe as they choose.

FTR...I have absolutely NO respect, and zero tolreance, for a "religion" that blows things and people up in the name of their god. And per the guilt by association clause of the law, the "moderate" ones not condemning or converting to soemthing else, are just as guilty as the ones out bombing and murdering.

Are all faiths equal?
Is the faith of the jihadist equal to the faith of Ghandi?
Or the faith of an IRA terrorist equal to Martin Luther King?

many people want to be "right," period. they seek self-affirmation through being on the same path as others. It takes self-confidence to walk one's own path, and to respect others while doing so.
