Why does society invest so much in eductation, instead of self-knowledge and advancing individual mathematic systems?

Perhaps because most people, left totally on their own, would have the same odds of discovering the full truth about God as they would have of discovering addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, ratios, algrebra, trig, geometry, cal and statistic all by themselves with no one to instruct them.

The subject of God is far more complex then anything in math. Yet people seem to believe that they can figure it all out on their own.

Even when you read the Bible, you will find that it took generations for God to completely reveal himself. Each generation building on what they learned from the early ones. Over 1500 years to write the entire Bible.

There is also a little thing called "synergy". It is the principle that a group of 10 can do more than 10 individuals. You would have a hard time supporting a school in Honduras (where public education only goes to the 3rd grade). But a whole group, my church, has run one with about 500 students now for over 10 years. Many of our members go down there for a week to a month a year and do whatever for them. We raise money, we recently filled a railroad car with clothing, computers, washing machine, medicine, peanut butter which the kids love but can not get in Honduras), school supplies, and (as a surpise to the directors, a new Jeep). No one of us could have done that alone. All of us together can. That is why the church is so important.

The operative word here is "invest." Religion has a history of huge return on investment, in terms of money, power, and control. It only makes sense to invest in Religion as Constantine did.

I do support your passion in many ways but to throw to the bin the last 4 000 years of advanced people who contributed with their thoughts and the best of their hearts is not intelligent either, religion is beautiful and great to your life when you have an honest and pure approach to God.

Unfortunately many people treat their own religion as fashion and their ideas as the only ones, Is cheesy but true to say that saints and Jesus had saved me so many MANY times, and with such real miracles of my own stupidity that I can be objective, but I see Muslims one side and materialist in the other and I do prefer much more honest Christians.

Fanatics and lunatics are everywhere, but yes...if "religion" had bee chosen to be avoided as a subject in school then another subject related with life, moral, ethics and principles have to installed cause we are making a generation of retarded.

I agree. We must consider more of who we are and what we will be, rather than what we do. What we are (spiritually), will determine what we do (religiously)!
