It's just intellectual laziness and swallowing misinformation wholesale.
I am a Christian and I believe in evolution. So do the MAJORITY of Christians.
In 1996, Pope John Paul II spoke at the annual meeting of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, which has been called "the Church's 'scientific senate' " he said:
"Today, more than a half century after this ['Humani Generis'] encyclical, new knowledge leads us to recognize in the theory of evolution more than a hypothesis. ... The convergence, neither sought nor induced, of results of work done independently one from the other, constitutes in itself a significant argument in favor of this theory [of evolution]."
The only people who have a problem with evolution are those Muslims, Christians or Jews who support a fundamentalist view of their scriptures.
We in USA also seem to be the ones perpetuating this backward kind of thinking. Belief in creation science seems to be largely a U.S. phenomenon. A British survey of 103 Roman Catholic priests, Anglican bishops and Protestant ministers/pastors showed that:
97% do not believe the world was created in six days.
80% do not believe in the existence of a LITERAL Adam and Eve.
Yup, we are sure dumbing down here in the US.

That's true, one does not follow the other. But the real assertion is that if you believe in Evolution, you don't have to believe in any spiritual things, Evolution is enough to explain life. You can, but you don't have to. If you don't, well it's likely that you'll have to have some spiritual or supernatural explanation of how life came about.
As to your poll:
1: No religion for me thanks, I just ate
2. Evolution
3. Depends on your meaning of soul and spirit.

Christianity/Creation/Body-Soul-Spirit (three parts)
If evolution is true, then there was not Adam or Eve. If there's no Adam or Eve, then they didn't eat any forbidden fruit. AND there's no need for a savior, so the whole story of Jesus is pointless.
So if you believe in evolution, then you have denied God, Christ and Christianity.

for starters, people who have not been born lower back are no longer Christians, & while you're no longer born lower back, church is merely a Sunday morning social club. There are diverse translations of the Bible by fact no longer everybody can comprehend the KJV. As Christians we are no longer any loger under the regulation by fact Jesus fufilled the standards of the regulation which replaced into given to coach the choose for a Savior considering no person can keep all the regulation by skill of themselves. As for various interpretations, the extra you study the Bible the extra you get out of it.
