believe me, we christians feel the same way about you as well, but i think that everyone should be given the chance to choose which he prefers. its his life, after all.
however, i don't think that people should impose the idea that they know what's the truth, simply because nobody knows for sure.

You can have your "truth" for the few years you have on earth. Personally the Truth is one of the few things that brings me any comfort in this life. The best part is that this comfort will last for all eternity. If you are right (of course you're not, but just for argument's sake if you are) then I am still happier in this life because I believed a "lie." I don't need to be saved from happiness. However, if I am right, which I am, you only have this life to have any happiness. Then for the rest of eternity you will discover that not only is God real, but that He was ultimately the source of all the happiness you had on earth. You will discover this because you will be completely cut off from Him and His love. Hell is nothing more than complete separation from God (the natural results of your sin, and your refusal to accept Christ so that you can be reconciled). Being completely cut off from God is to be completely cut off from all that is good, and is the worst imaginable fate. So, if I am right, your happiness is fleeting. It might as well be only for a second of your life, for it will seem even less than that compared to eternity. If you're right, I still have happiness all of my life. I'll take my "lie" over your "truth" any day of the week!

I'm something like an agnostic, but I'll answer: honestly, if the truth is that once you die, you don't exist anymore and that's it, I'd rather never know it (not that I don't suspect it, but that I don't have those Sufficient Proofs for it, so I'm not sure of it). Because, honestly, it's a depressing idea, besides knowing this truth wouldn't mean much - what the hell is the difference between dying wise or dying stupid, since after death none of this matters anymore?
So no, Samurai Jack, don't tell me, don't tell me!!!

Ok... both sides... defend your theory without using the bible as a reference.
Amanda... when quoting scripture it's often important to quote it correctly. John 3:16 states, "For God... that whosoever believeth in him SHOULD not perish..." Big difference between shall and should. But then that is just one interpretation. So... when Christians can all unite under one decision and tell me who or what is going to Heaven... then you can say you possibly have a valid argument.
Too many factions say too many others are going to Hell. Ever worn a Marilyn Manson concert shirt to a Southern Baptist church? There are those who believe that is Hell on Earth.

Christians don't care about finding real truth. They care more about trying to prove that what they already believe is somehow the truth. If they could accept a truth that was contrary to what they wanted to believe, they would have denied Christ a long time ago.

If you're right, we'll just stop existing and won't care one way or the other. If we're right, then we will go to Heaven, and where will that leave you. We are trying to lead you to the truth, you can't prove that there isn't a God. I hope that helps, God bless you.

to late for what? to late to live a life dedicate to a wonderful christian life. what is it that you think we are missing? I am so curious to know what it is that you will think regretted doing if no God exists? That baffles me.
What will you do when you find out you have been telling lies and perhaps you see someone in hell that you are personally responsible for spreading your version of the truth to?
What will you do when you stand before God and he denounces you as one of satan's helpers.
Don't you want to know the truth? The real truth? I guess we all Will someday won't we.

I've tasted the new wine, so its no good you telling me it doesn't exist.
Moreover I'm assured that things are going to get better after physical death. My hope won't end then. We all have some tough times now, unless we are very lucky. It will be heaven literally when with Jesus and the saints, when the trials of this world are passed.

Actually, those that know the truth will profess it even should they be beat and tortured for it. Are you willing to die for what you say here? I am willing to go for my testimony in the Lord. If you aren't seriously willing to drop dead for what you believe, then maybe you are "believing" the wrong thing.

well when i die and I am in heaven and when you die you'll be in hell, and at that point you'll wish you did differently.
So it's better to just try to believe and go to God when alive, and if there isn't...well in your own words "you won't even know it because you'll be dead.
Don't let that happen to you."
