Dieting is probably 75% of the battle when it comes to fat in these areas coupled with a good cardio routine and some crunches. Look in the Men's Health magazine as well. They usually have some very good advice about reducing belly fat. There is also this book called, The Ab diet. that may help too.

first of all, there is nothing specific to eat to keep off fat. it is about overall caloric intake versus overall caloric or energy output. so, once you achieve the loss of your belly and back fat, you just need to keep from gaining weight by not eating more than you are using in energy.
when we lose fat, we lose it all over our body; we can't control the areas where it comes off, however it will eventually come off the places you want if you stick to it and be patient
but, you can tone the areas of your belly and back.
do you like exercise videos- there are a lot that focus on abs- i would highly recommend taebo get amped "rockin abs"
whatever exercises you are doing, make sure they involve lots of rotation. also make sure you are varying your moves, for example do things that isolate each part of your abs, not just the classic "sit up", but and focus on your lower abs too, and inner abs, (when you are doing the exercise try to suck your bellybutton into your spine) it contracts the core muscles
for your back, you can do back extensions, (laying flat on your stomach you can lift up your body and do like 3 sets of 10 or so. this works good in a large medicine ball. also rotation helps for your back- make sure you are keeping your hips in one place and using your abs and back muscles to move. just go back and forth for a certain amount of time, and take a break and do it a few more times. another thing that helps both the back and abs are side crunches- either standing or sitting.

You can reduce belly fat by doing exercises like walking, swimming and rowing. Such activities help in supplying enough oxygen to the body to burn fat. The healthiest way to prevent a fat stomach is by ensuring that your weight is normal for your height. Ensure that the energy provided by the food you eat matches the energy you burn performing your daily activities. More info at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachfat.html

The best diet is a vegan diet also excluding enriched/processed/refined foods, caffeine, sucrose or unnatural sugars. STAY AWAY FROM CARBONATED DRINKS (SODAS) INCLUDING "DIET". Try eating more raw than cooked. Try not to eat past 5:00 pm. If you have a sedentary job, the recommended amount of meals is 2 a day. Eat your biggest meal in the morning as at this time your metabolism works faster. It is also best to exercise in the morning as the air has less pollution in it and you get to breath fresher air which aids in digestion. It is not well to do heavy exercise immediately after eating or before eating but you could walk for an hour after your meal. If you walk at a moderate even pace, this should exercise every muscle in your body and keep you fit.
Also, do not drink with your meals, wait at least 2 hours after you eat for drinking with your meals dilutes the gastric juices in your stomach interfering with digestion and with the absorption of minerals and vitamins of the foods. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and wait at least 5 hours in between your meals. This gives your stomach enough time to digest as well as rest. You have to get to know your body as everyone is different, and of course try not to overeat.
As you exercise or do sit ups tighten your belly muscles, this will build muscle instead of flabby flesh. If you stay on the above program, it will be hard for you to gain weight. Best wishes.

human body cannot burn fat by spot reduction it is a strategy to gain muscle. so if you wanna loose fat the whole body should workout at the rate of about 60-70% of your maximum heart rate. for quick results i recommend treadmil and if you do cardio everyday it is important to get balanced meals.
enough carb(complex), required amount of protein and little fat(unsaturated) not more than 30% of your daily caloric intake and make sure you drink more water than usual
(about 2.5-3.0 liters).
