How tall are you? If you are anywhere between 5' 5" and 5' 8" there is no reason for you to lose weight.
Also, have you gotten your period yet? If not, there is no need to be concerned about your weight as not getting yet has an affect on you (nothing serious, dont worry).

The truth is, you are still growing and sometimes height needs to catch up with weight, and other times weight needs to catch up with height.

The safest way to go about this is just eat healtheir, NOT less. Use low fat milk, cheese, yougart. Snack on fruits and vegatables. (fruit is great if you are craving something sweet) Eat whole grain cereals, bread and leaner meats like turkey and chicken. Stay away from soda pop, if you cant use diet soda and potatoe chips are a no no. A good 1/2 hour brisk walk a day is good too.

DONT use diet pills or go too crazy by trying to jog all the time, etc. It isnt safe at all.

You can also talk to your doctor about being refered to a nutritionist who can talk to you about food choices and making healthy, safe and effective plan with you.

Lastly, dont skip breakfast. If you are in a rush, at least grab some yougart with some nuts and fruit. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day will help you more than by eating less or skipping meals. Eating 5 to 6 times a day will help your metabolism.

By eating a good breakfast like eggs, toast, non-sugar cereal (like raisin bran, granola, etc.), milk or orange juice.

By taking a 20 minute walk every day. Or try swimming, rollarblading, jogging, biking, anything to get your heart pumping a little faster. Exercise at a medium rate--if you're sweating after 10 minutes, and if you can talk but not sing, that's a good level to be at. Gently increase your activity level as you become accustomed to being active.

By eating 5 fruits/veggies per day and sticking to low fat foods rather than fast foods.

Drink at least 4 glasses of water a day. Try taking a Nalgene bottle or other water bottle to school with you and sipping on it during the day. Stay away from sodas--they are chucked full of sugars and don't have any vitamins worth mentioning in them.

As a teenager, it's going to be harder to eat healthy foods, seeing as you really can't control what's cooked at home, but if there is something fatty, try eating just a serving spoonful.

Good luck!

When you crave sweets, eat watermelon! It takes more calories to digest than it gives you, and is way healthier for you than most other sweets.

Eat lots of veggies, and make sure you eat fish a couple times a week... But most importantly, drink tons of water -- it fills you up and eases your cravings for food. Drink a whole glass about 10 minutes before any meal, and you'll eat a whole lot less (it takes about 15 minutes before your stomach realizes it is full, so eat slowly!)

Good luck honey, don't try any of those diet pills etc, they just don't work. If you own a Playstation, get your parents to get you a DDR game and a pad -- Extreme has a great workout mode that will tell you how much Kilocalories you're burning!

Take up exercise - gently at first but building up over time. Walking is a good start then just walk faster until you feel you want to run.
Also eat healthier by cutting down on fats and sugars etc. See if your doctor can give you a good diet sheet and calorie intake advice. You lose weight by expending more calories than you take in.
Look to do this over a period of time rather than looking to do it over a few months. 2lb loss per week is more than enough and you have to make sure you eat the foods to support your age and growth/activity. DONT just stop eating.

Good Luck.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself with a little snack once in a while:)

You need to look at what you are eating, if you eat lots of chocolate (more than one bar per day) or crisps (more than one bag per day) and fizzy drinks (more than three glasses per day) then you will gain weight. Cut all your sweets, fizzy drinks crisps etc by half at least to begin with. Eat an apple or banana or orange instead, you need to be eating at least five pieces of fresh fruit and vegetables per day. Instead of fizzy sugar loaded drinks, drink water and other fluids you need at least 2,600 mls per day of fluid (about eight galsses throughout the day) this can be water, fruit juice tea and coffee (decaffenated) and a couple of drinks of fizzy drink. start to excersise at least half an hour per day extra to what you do. This can be simply walking round the block or swimming, basketball whatever you want as long as you are raising your heartbeat and feeling a bit sweaty. when you excersise don`t forget to have a drink or water because you will sweat more. Start off slowly and in one weeks time cut down on burgers, fries and pitza (you don`t need to stop eating them just reduce the amount you eat. Always have breakfast ( for instance cereal, toast fruit juice) this will stop the mid morning snack attack. Please do not lose too much weight too quickly, go and see your doctor and get a checkup.
