I think it all depends who people believe is superior--Ishmael or Isaac.
Ishmael was the son of a maidservant; Isaac was the son of a free woman. Both were the sons of Abraham. Neither son asked for that honor.

Read it again. He promised it to the first son of him and Sarah. Sarah didn't believe after getting older and talked Abraham into taking Hagar. God still kept telling him one would come from his wife. God also told Hagar that a great nation would rise from her son Ishmael too but He never said the Savior would come through that line.
The son of the wife was always considered the first born with all the rights of inheritance

Why should they be.. The Bible is explicit CAST OUT THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN (Ismael)
Gal 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
Gal 4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
an husband.
Gal 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
Gal 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
Gal 4:31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

They MIGHT be angry if it were true.
As you understand that Jesus is a prophet of Islam, the prophet never once mentioned that name of Ishmael in His teachings in the New Testament, but frequently made reference to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Genesis 21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Romans 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,18) Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

I think you have it all wrong. G-d promised the land of Israel to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants.
The Jewish people are neither angry nor bitter, since we have no reason to be bitter or angry.
It is Muslims who are angry all the time, who preach for violence, who become homicide bombers.

Short answer: No, they're not angry about that, because to be angry about that, first they would have to actually believe that.
Ever heard of the saying "It takes one to know one?" Think deeply upon that one.
