I just posted a question about why guys love boxing..and i was wondering does the fact that males would compete to be the 'alpha male' in the wild have anything to do with the fact that men are competitive like over women..like when i used to mention this other guy and his car to me ex he used to become really competitive with his car and have something against this other guy..would this relate to males natural behaviour when competing over women for a mate in the wild? and is it instinctive? im just curious lol

You shouldn't compare men to animals in the wild. However, we are like any other animal because we have primal instincts to compete whenever we feel like it.
Naturally, men have a tendency to compete because of their level of testerone... and to show what they can do in order to prove to be the 'alpha' male. And for what purpose? over some car race... some gold-metallic-looking trophy... or some woman (who thinks she's the prize of every man's dreams)?
In the end... nobody wins or loses. And don't the women determine whether they like a certain guy or not regardless of his 'alpha'-ness?
Think about it for one moment. You have a huge crush on this cute guy... but he's racing your bf who is downright ugly but a champion of street car racing. Your bf wins and claims you as his prize but it's his glory or passion for car racing that he only cares about.
In the end you are given one thing... to be with a champion who you aren't physically attracted to or to be with someone who only lost ONE and I mean ONE race but is really really cute in your eyes.
So what do you care? it's about men's pride and ego. So ask yourself... what do you want? It's all about what you want.
Forget what alpha means for one second... that doesn't compare to any other guy you may have a crush on.

Being alpha male is a whole lot more than physical altercations like boxing. The way a man carries himself and reacts to external situations is a big part of it as well.
A man is competitive over women because we want to spread our DNA. Better mine than his.

Yes! It isn't hard to see when your a guy. If you approach a hot girl she always has like a few guys competing for her and they will definitely let you know what is what.

i know thats right, although i dont like boxing, and im not as competative. i use my manly charm to get the guys i want.
