My best friend is getting married and I will be a bridesmaid. The bridesmaids are giving her a lingerie shower. I will buy something for the lingerie party and a gift for the main tea. How much do I spend ALL together on a gift for the main tea and lingerie party? Also, do I get a gift that she is registered for or do I buy something else for the bride and groom together? Thanks!!

There is no set amount or limit to what you get her or them. You can buy whatever you want. Something personal for her, for them, something off the registry... anything!!

Be creative and get something special. Good luck!

Is the 'main tea' what we in the US call a 'reception'? If so, I give something from the registry for the tea, and either lingerie or 'accessories' [ massage oil, mood music, candles,
wine ] for the shower - probably $ 100-200 US total.
There is a reason people sign up for a registery - use it!

I threw a shower for one of my best friends recently as I was the only in-town bridesmaid. I didn't bother getting her anything from the registry. Instead, I knew the salon that she was going to be getting her hair and make-up done at on her wedding day, so I got her a gift certificate for 30 dollars so it wouldn't be quite as expensive for her, and I also got her a cute little pair of panties. For my other friend, I got her a set of bakeware off of her bridal registry, which was $40. There really aren't any rules regarding this. You can spend as much or as little as you like and if you can't think of anything personal to get her, it is completely acceptable to purchase something off of her registry.

Buy gifts that fit comfortably into your price range, she wouldn't want you to break yourself trying to buy her something you can't afford. She'll appreciate anything you get her. I would be sure to get something from her registry, for the main tea, because those are the things she AND the groom have choosen together, so they'll both be pleased with something off their list!

If she has lingerie on her registry (probably not) then buy from the registry as for the main tea there is probably something on her registry that will work, so buy from it.
