As he was led to be crucified?
How could such hard hearted men not understand that THIS was God come down to man.
"Even as He hung in torment and terrible suffering, they mocked, him and spat on Him. Most hated him vehemently."
"...falsely accused and condemned, beaten, scourged, mocked and humiliated."
"They mocked and reviled Jesus, spit in His face, then blindfolded Him and beat Him asking Him to prophesy who had hit Him (Mark 14:65; Luke 22:63-65)."
Do people STILL commit these same despicable acts today?
I see questions like this all the time from people that seem to hate Him:
"Moses: burning bush, Jesus: "Father speaks through me," Mohamed: Gabriel. If I hear voices am I a prophet too?"

"Why would God intelligently design a place that you would need to be saved from?"

"Jesus said you can beat women with a rod till they are unconsious ?"

"Did JESUS CHRIST have a GAY relationship with Apostle JOHN?"

"Jesus was a sinner?"

or these:
"Why were all of Jesus' supposed miracles just meaningless parlor tricks?"

"Jesus Is A Fraud?"

"IF JESUs IS SUPPOSED TO BE PERFECT AND SINLESS, WHY DID HE LIE SO MUCH?"

He said "the world hated me before they hated you" Don't you just see the same thing here and now, the people of the world hating the light of truth? They are just people on the wrong side for whatever reason and have a bleak future. They are to be pitied.

Ya-that was indeed terrible! But, these sinners must have paid for their deeds also. Since ancient times, True saints have always been tortured like this-something is really wrong with mankind! They dont realise such Saints come to collect their Marked Sheep and relieve them from the cycle of life and death-on the contrary do this with them! Shame!

People do not want to admit the truth- they want the alternative which is anything else they can think up- they do not want to have to leave their sinful lives and repent. It is PRIDE.
Also they do not have the eyes to see the truth right now- for Only God can heal them of that!
Romans 1:25
They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

-But we who love the Lord and know of His great sacrifice and the suffering He went through to save sinners-- we share His wonderful Gospel as He calls us to, and because we care about others! Yes what Jesus did was LOVE!
Praise Be to Him!
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends

I read the whole thing twice, searching for the point. Couldn't find it. ...unless you think it's a despicable act to express your opinion about the greatest force for evil ever to curse humanity. You've skipped 2000 years of history. We live in a democracy now and everybody is entitled to their own opinion. There are no more Lords and there are no more gods. Grow up!!!

Its no different now in the 21st century.

If you behave differently, look differently, even live life differently or speak out from what is accepted as the 'norm' then you will be ridiculed, scorned and maybe even spat upon.

Nothing changes.

We are still doing this today, mocking and cursing the Son of God, goes to show how tolerant and forgiving God really is.

It is like doing it to him all over again.

The sad thing is that so many have not even taken the time to really learn his message, some did as youth, but only understood as children, their faith did not develop.

That is why they think faith is for the weak minded because what they remember was taught to them as Children, most left in their teens.

Peace!

They hated him..without a cause.
They turn from the light...because their deed are evil.
They cannot understand this because their mind is darkened, and the truth is hidden from them by satan.
