I am looking for some thick drapes that I can put over my 1 1/2 year olds windows. When the sun rises it shines right through her window waking her up early and it is still light out when she goes to bed making it hard for her to sleep. I am looking for a good thick drape but also cute. Colors having to do with light pink, light purple, or light green. Thank you

Try putting up opaque blinds in addition to curtains. Then you don't have to be concerned about the type of fabric... this should also be less expensive than buying heavy drapes.

Try JC PENNY for the drapes.. Or if you can sew there is a light out fabric that you can get at Wal-mart.. You can even use a no-sew fussable web. You can even buy drapes at Wal-Mart or Taget cheap....

I would get a light 'blocking' pull shade and then you can have your pretty curtains over them. The shade can be the same color as the walls if you want it to blend in. Also, if you sew, you can cover it with matching material of the curtains.

You can buy lined drapes at JCPenney - they have all the colors you suggested, and more!
Buy WASHABLE ones!

I would go with purple.... but make sure there is a thick fabric behind it... other wise she'll wake u up.....
