As far as we know for certain, each person gets only one life, which makes each and every moment precious. Make the best use of the time you have.

I enjoy the benefits of civilized society, so I do my part to support the continuance of that society by obeying the laws and customs, working to right any wrongs I see, treating others with the same respect I would like to receive from them, and trying to maintain a balance between my needs and wants and the needs and wants of others.

Let my life be my message. I try most earnestly to live up to my duties as a citizen, son, husband, grandfather, employee, etc., and take responsibility for any errors I commit.

In short, I try to live a moral, useful, and fulfilling life by contributing a verse, however small, to the powerful play of human history.

The principles that I live by are;
1.Making sure that I am always kind and respectful to everyone. Smile, whether or not they return the smile makes no difference.
2.Being honest, yes I go back into the store if I find that they haven't charged me for something.
3.I believe that it is important to care for others, humans and wildlife. I happen to prefer wildlife. I care for the feral cats where I live.
4.Keeping my corner of the world as clean and beautiful as I can.
I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking about right now, but basically I feel that it is very important to treat others the way I want to be treated. I always try to put myself in their place, before I say anything stupid. You know "walk a mile in my shoes."
I never consciously do anything to purposely hurt anyone or anything.

I want to live my life, so far as I am able, so as not to contribute to the unhappiness of others, to leave the world no worse for my having existed, and, hopefully, to have produced or created a worthwhile memento to leave behind. Those are my desires, I suppose. My principles are simple: to do no harm and to respect the Earth and all of its inhabitants, both human and nonhuman...
