Weapon styles require solid stances (zenkutsudachi or shukodachi) when striking and blocking as the energy transfers are quite large.
An effective strike for the Tonfa would be one that extends your reach, ie. strike with body of Tonfa extended.
The best forms for these weapons are the basic Sevens.
These include the best strikes for each covering the most vulnerable points on the body as well as differing grips on the weapon as well.

For Bokken, try looking up some sites on Kendo to get some info. Then there's Aikido which has some basic suburi or sword forms with a bokken taught as a supplement to empty hand techniques, as well as Jo(short staff) forms. For Bo and Tonfa, Karate Master Fumio Demura wrote some books on these traditional Karate weapons including the Sai and Nunchucks so you can try looking his name up on the net.

It's hard to teach concepts in writing, but try and get to the outside. You always want to redirect the force coming at you. For example, if you use a hard style block (meeting force with force), you're going to hurt yourself and you feed your opponent energy to hit you again. Instead, pass the strike so you get to the outside of your attacker. If you e-mail me, maybe I can send a video your way to show what I'm talking about.

Those weapons can be found in Kubudo and/or OKINAWAN Karate, like Goju-Ryu. I suggest studying either or.
