a year and a half ago i fell in love with this great guy...although im young i know that it was love but now although im still in love with him i had to get over the fact that im not going to have him...but now im starting to be realy attracted to another person and i dotn know if i can because im still very in love with my exboyfriend

You know the gods honest truth of it all is that you will ALWAYS feel something for all of the ex's you are going to have in your life. It is furthermore also true that there will always be guys you are going to look at and be attracted to.
Love is so much more then that butterfly feeling you get in the pit of your stomach. It's so much more then that feeling of walking on air and wanting no one BUT that person who makes you feel this way. Lust is very simply an intense longing for someone or something. It doesn't have to have ANYTHING to do with sex. Love is respect, trust, pure honesty (from both involved), knowing that your every need will be provided for, and knowing that no mater what you say or do none of these will every have to be questioned. It is a bond much stronger then any glue or cement. Sex shouldn't even be a factor in love. All sex is, is the act every mammal on this plant has to do in order to reproduce.
If EVERYTHING i have written above is what you felt when you were with your ex then you should go back to him this second. However, if even one ingredient in this recipe is missing then i'm sorry my dear as much as you might think it is love...it simply isn't. If this is the case then you owe it to yourself to continue searching until you have all the ingredient and then NEVER let go of the one who brings them to you! Good luck!!!

It is possible to love more than one. It is also a reality check to know and understand that you have moved on from an old circumstance of love. Live out of your today, not your yesterday. Enjoy what is before you and eventually that which is yours will be the only thing found. Put the focus back to YOU rather than two guys even. Enjoy yourself and allow what is real to make it self real to YOU. It's not about an old relationship, it's about your now and what do you want in this now? If you can't have the old flame, certainly you would not want to define your love where it cannot be returned equally would you? After all this is about YOU in your present life. You might want to consider to live your todays now and not from that which does not serve you. Relax and enjoy life and next time make some new boundaries in relationships. Ask yourself do you give too much love in the beginning? Let the guy earn his right to be in your life, before you give so much of you?

You have to decide for yourself what love you are experiencing. There are different kinds of love. Eros the love of desire can blind Phila, the love you would have for a friend. You may feel more devotion toward a person who you have experienced a number of "firsts" with. This complicates matters sometime because subconscious guilt will make you stay infatuated with that person. Women mature faster emotionally and are quick to understand the old cliche "I love you, but in not in love with you.". Sexual desire on any level is Eros. You may decide in the future to move on and stay in love with the relationship you shared with your ex, but not be in love with your ex anymore. Whatever the end may be it would not hurt you to learn about the different kinds of love and how to better address them.

this is kind'a hard to answer..i had an experiene once just like yours...but thE difference is still have a commitment with my bf when i fell inlove with another guy..i get along with that guy much better than my bf...but you know i still chose my bf 'coz i love him and i tried to forget about that guy and as time pass i learned that i just see my bf in him..in your situation..i think you should look at both of their lives..is your ex-bf miserable without you?does he need you?..if not you should learn to forget about him..but if he does..try to tell him..and see what happens..try it again with the other guy..and see what happens again..which guy has the more feelings about you..which guy are you comfortable with?..are you gonna be happy with him?..Lovelife is a hardlife..but it's a life that most of us wants to experience..just follow your heart..maybe thats the right thing to do..if only your heart can type..it would log-in and answer that for you..

Who's to say that we can't LOVE two people? Everyone is different, and we love people for who they are, right?I have acctually loved two people at once, obviously for different reasons. Love has no boundaries, and niether does attraction. We love both of our parents, we love all of our friends, if we have kids, we love them all, right? So why not have feelings for two people? Society has been trained by unreasonable and inhuman standards. Don't put restictions on yourself until you are ready to settle down, then it's just a matter of morals.

yep, it is possible to be in love with someone and be attracted to another. if you can try to get the person your attracted to out of your mind. just try to be friends. or if you do like him go out with him. or you can date the guy your dating then date the other after him. this is a hard question.

yes you can be attracte to another person while still in love with you ex boyfriend....let yourself find new love again..the old love will always be in your heart..but don't deny new love for one that you know you can't have...
