It is actually not very likely that she was an intact, physical virgin. In the original texts, the word used for Virgin actually meant a woman who was betrothed...sort of...married but not to the second part of the marriage.
To ensure Dynastic succession, sex was only allowed with the spouse during the 1st half of December and then after pregnancy was confirmed, but before delivery, the second "marriage" would take place.
This was to ensure the woman wasn't barren and allow for the may to "put her away" if she couldn't conceive.
There is a different word to denote an intact, physical virgin and that was not eh word used in the original texts.
It is more likely that Mary and Joseph had sex at a time that was not condoned by the rules of Dynastic Succession and then he had to get permission to keep her as a wife...She would have then delivered before the second marriage could take place...therefore making her a Virgin in the sense of not having been in a completed marriage.
Blessings

Nobody can say that Mary was or was not a virgin, so thats just plain silly.
The Word of the Living God says that she was a virgin, in fact had to be a virgin, in order for the Christ to be born of her.
However, Joseph was her husband, and after she had Jesus, she went on to have other children - some of which were Jesus'
followers.
Of course she had a little fun in her days - do you think Christian people don't enjoy their lives? Just because we aren't stone-cold drunk on Friday night doesn't mean we don't have fun lives - I choose to ignore that you meant anything disrespectful to the mother of God, so I will leave it at that.

Actually the Virgin Mary came from a line of holy decendants, her Mother Anne was a pious and holy woman and also her Father Joachim, She was also concieved without sin and so would not have been a slave to the animal passions that we are.
How could scientists know Mary was not a virgin do they have samples? what rubbish.

The KJV Bible states very clearly that Mary was a virgin and the Holy Ghost over shadowed her and she gave birth to Gods only son.

She had fun,
But she was a virgin.
She had no other Children, even the Protestant Reformers in 1600 did not dispute this. The belief that Mary had an extended family is a very recent heresy.
Peace and God Bless!

I'm an Atheist.....but I think there are some things you respect and this is one of those things.
You don't have to believe it or even understand it.
Whether she had "fun" or not....what difference does it really make now.
