It depends for some it maybe just physical..such are the people who'll go to any extent to satisfy their needs but for some it is culmination of the love and care you feel for the partner. So which category are you in???

I don't think so. Just being physical would satisfy your body. But a sex, with the whole of you involved, with all your heart into it, would recharge your souls. Kindly refer to books by 'Osho'. He has beautifully described sex.
Excessive desire for sex is lust. Sex just to satisfy your body is lust. Having sex against the moral codes is lust. But sex to enjoy the moments, to explore, to give your partner the the best of yourself, to give your partner the ultimate ecstasy, altogether without any fear is pure love-making. And it's a divine experience.

the sex act is physical....but getting to that point is all part of sex...actually I figure when my bf calls me at work and says...he is thinking about me...I figure..we have started sex.....so...no...sex is not just physical!!!
