The thing is that my company is willing to pay for a rental car. But I don't have a driver's license. Can I get the rental car on my name, but have a friend drive me?

( a friend with a driver's license of course )

You may rent the car with no problems. Your friend will have to provide a valid license to the rental company before it can be taken. Any major rental company would not question this at all.

Nope....have the car rented in your friend's name. No rental car company will allow an unlicensed driver to rent their vehicles.
You need to be up front with your company. Tell them you don't have a license and you want your friend to drive. Let them tell you if they will allow this.
Good luck.

No, rental companies will only rent to those who have a valid driver's license, therefore the rental agreement would have to be on your friend's name, not yours.

nope, the person renting the car must have a DL. The company takes a copy of your license when you pick up the keys. They'll tell you that the car will have to be in your friends name since he's driving.

Absolutely not. Your friend can put the rental car in his name and you can explain the situation to your company.

Easy solution.. your friend rents the car and you pay for it with YOUR credit card. That way you can get reimbursement from your company... But, unfortunately, there is no company that I know of that will rent a vehicle to a non-driver.

No Sorry. I have been in this situation before.I am living in Canada. If you are in the States they could have different rules and regulations.I was told I needed to have a Visa or master card as well as a valid drivers license.Good Luck!

Next time ask for another form of ID in addition to the Drivers License. That will sort out the perceived problem. We all have to be alert.
