In some towns, in malls and special stores, there is a shop of sorts that does custom design. In fact, you may have seen some works from that store and didn't know it. People who have t-shirts, hats, sweters etc... that have a custom air brushed design on them will know where to find this store. Most of these store will air brush a custom license plate for you. You can have your name and other such things put on them. Also, you can drop by your local DMV. Most states will sell you to a custom license plate with your numbers on them for about $20 (this may vary where you live) extra than what yours cost. If you still can't find what your looking for, don't be afraid to ask the people who are there. They can help you.

I hope I helped!!

Your local DMV office is the best source. Check to see if they have a website which will let you do a search against existing or prohibited plates.

Some states have on line checks other states you have to check their computer at the local BMV branch. Remember there are limitation to what you can have.

I'd start with your state BMV website

Good luck,
