I need help picking a father/daughter dance song for my wedding. I want something "old fashioned", Frank Sinatra or Nat King Cole era. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Is "The Way You Look Tonight" an appropriate father/daughter song?

I definitely like Unforgettable from Nat King Cole or the redone duet with Natalie. From Frank Sinatra you can try The Way You Look Tonight, Young at Heart, Fly Me To The Moon, Come Rain or Come Shine, They Can't Take That Away From Me, The Best Is Yet To Come, Love and Marriage (though it may conjure images of the Bundy's!)

There's also:
You're Nobody Til Somebody Loves You - Dean Martin
What A Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton
As Time Goes By - (different artists available)
I'll Be Seeing You - Bing Crosby

I'm sure there are a ton more. I have other suggestions but they're more contemporary. Good luck!

There's a duet version of "Unforgettable" that Natalie Cole made using recordings of her father, Nat King Cole.

I think Unforgettable would be perfect (Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole). Try this website...

Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce

If I could save Time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day
Til Eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I'd save every day like a treasure and then,
Again, I would spend them with you

CHORUS:
But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go
Through time with

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory
Of how they were answered by you

"We've Only Just Begun" is a song recorded by The Carpenters in 1970, and still much in demand as a wedding anthem.
We've only just begun to live,
White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way.
And yes, We've just begun.
Before the rising sun we fly,
So many roads to choose
We start our walking and learn to run.
And yes, We've just begun.
Sharing horizons that are new to us,
Watching the signs along the way,
Talking it over just the two of us,
Working together day to day
Together.
And when the evening comes we smile,
So much of life ahead
We'll find a place where there's room to grow,
And yes, We've just begun.

The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra
Turn Around - several artists have done this song, it is very emotional in my opinion ( a sample of the lyrics are "where are you going my little one, little one...turn around and your three, turn around and your four, turn around and your a young one walking out my door.)

There are some beautiful modern songs:
Because You Loved Me - Celine Dion
Through the Years - Kenny Rogers
I Loved Her First - Heartland

Mine was "You Are My Sunshine" by Nat King Cole. My dad used to sing it to me all the time, and I found that version and it was absolutely beautiful!

Bob carlisle - Butterfly kisses. The most suitable one!

There's two things I know for sure:
She was sent here from heaven and she's
daddy's little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night
She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes and
I thank god for all the joy in my life
Oh, but most of all
For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer;
sticking little white flowers all up in her
hair; "Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it's my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried."
In all that I've done wrong I know I must
have done something right to deserve a hug
every morning and butterfly kisses at night.

Sweet 16 today
She's looking like her mama a little more everyday
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and make-up from ribbons and curls
Trying her wings out in a great big world.

But I remember
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer; sticking
little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you, Daddy, But if you
don't mind I'm only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time."
With all that I've done wrong I must have done
something right to deserve her love every morning
and butterfly kisses at night.

All the precious time
Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly.
Spread your wings and fly.

She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride-room just staring at her.
She asked me what I'm thinking and I said "I'm not
sure-I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl."
She leaned over...gave me butterfly kisses with her mama there,
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
"Walk my down the aisle, Daddy-it's just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, Daddy? Daddy, don't cry!"

Oh, with all that I've done wrong I must have
done something right.
To deserve your love every morning and butterfly
kisses-I couldn't ask God for more, man this is what love is.

I know I gotta let her go, but I'll always remember
every hug in the morning and butterfly kisses.

I am using Close to You by the Carpenters for me and my son. I'm sure you could use it as a father/daughter dance also.
