For a very long time, I thought they were a fairy tale.
I do not think so anymore.

No. Your friend may honestly BELIEVE that he is, but that doesn't make it true. Try sneaking up on him with a cross or crucifrix - if he doesn't flinch, he's not a vampire. Or spike his drink with holy water - I guarantee you, nothing will happen to him, because he's not a vampire.
Neither are you - seeing auras has NOTHING to do with vampirism. It is a New Age technique for examining people's mood and psychological state. You need to read up on the topic before giving yourself airs about it.
Or, it's also possible that it is a visual problem - visit your opthamologist to make sure it isn't a sign of a serious visual disease.
Also, even if true vampirism were possible, there couldn't a real "alive" vampire, because vampires belong to the category of "undead" - neither living nor dead.

No there is no such thing as a "real real vampire" Honestly there has never been anyone found on this earth that has to drink blood to survive. You asked us not to tell you that you needed to see a psychologist, so I'll just suggest that you seek someone to talk with. There are many diseases that can be found in blood, and you need to realize that you could be putting yourself at risk.

. Do vampires really exist?
The answer to this question depends on your definition of the word vampire. If you feel that vampires are the creatures depicted in movies such as Near Dark and in books such as Dracula and Interview With A Vampire, then I would have to say no. To date, I have not met or even heard of a varafiable creature such as that.
If on the other hand, you beleive that vampires are people who are basically normal with the exception of one or two abnomalities such as hypersensitivity to light, heightened psychic abilities, and the physical need to consume blood, then my answer would be yes.

No, absolutely not. Vampires have nothing to do with auras. I think you both need professional help.
Vampires are 'undead' creatures from folklore who live on blood and only blood. They are night creatures. And they are myth!

Kayla,
You need some help, sister. Vampires are not to be considered real, possible, probable or existing. Your friend sounds like he needs some DEEP help. I wish you both good luck - and good hunting!

vampires like that of the movies do not exist.
The psychological craving for blood, hypersensitivity to light are real. Whether you get stronger than normal is unanswered question. lol
But yes, the ones with craving for blood and hypersensitivity to light, could be called vampires. Oh, and don't forget about the canines/eye teeth.
