... in the Milwaukee metro area? I'd go to the usual places (Starship, Atomic, bla bla bla.) but I want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth in a high quality tattoo, someone who has worked with all-white ink previously.
Yes, I've done my research... I have pasty-pale skin and do not tan, so I have very little fear of my skin rejecting the ink.
Thanks!

Here is the link I obtained for the idea of getting a white tattoo at all
http://www.tattoonow.com/facemaster.cfm?task=message_list&thread_index=346&generate=1
The main attraction to it for myself is that it isn't very visible. There are repeat posts from many people on the thread that state that it is common for any ink, including white, to last better on pale skin. Of course, I'm not taking their comments as facts. However, I wanted to sit down with an artist, show him the simple design I wanted on my forearm, etc... hence my requests for local artists, not opinions.

(Sorry all, not trying to make this into an essay)... the other appeal to the white tat is that it appears more as a 'brand' as opposed to a tattoo. Check the link above, some of the work is fantastic in its simplicity.

The poster that has the rad tattoo on his back on his little picture thing is right. I have the Russian flag tattooed on me and of course that includes white. The white is barely visible, and pretty much looks just a tad big lighter than the rest of my skin. Do NOT expect it to come out white like paper because you will be disappointed, trust me. I wasn't disappointed because I knew what to expect but couldn't change the colour of the flag obviously. Rethink your colours, or use white as an accent colour like he said as well.

I have fairly fair skin, and i have a white tattoo. It's a superman symbol that's filled in with white and red. It came out great. The only problem with white ink is that if you get your tattoo removed, the only color that will stay is white, so that's why some tattoo artists wont use it. Plus another problem that they encounter is that the colors will bleed into the white if they're not a good tattooer. ♥

Ok I know someone who does white and he says It looks good in a small area.It stays white. In a large area it tends to look patchy. And he had one with a large area that he showed me on his arm. He also said they tend to look better after you tan. They come in and look better with a little tan. I also know an artist who will not use white because they will not say what the ingredients of it are. So you don't know what they are sticking in your skin. Anyway based on these 2 guys I decided not to have any white but it's up to you. It's your skin. Tattoos are probably not the best thing to do to your skin anyway.

the color of your skin has nothing to do with "rejecting" the ink. white ink was not made to be a stand alone tattoo color. regardless you will have to have many applications of the tattoo to get it to be solid. white ink was made to accent and add hilights to colors. it will still likely yellow over time whether you tan or not. i would suggest chosing another route for the tattoo. i don't know of any true tattoo artist who specializes in white ink.

do some more research at your local tattoo shops or online searching your local area. that's what I would do. I'm in Michigan, don't have a name off the top of my head.

pasty white skin and white tattoos? hmmm, you'd think it wouldn't show up very well.
