Can they get rid of a cyst in your brain?

this guy i sort of know has a cyst in his brain. in the pineal gland. can the medication for it get rid of it?

I don't think medication will get rid of it. It might be amenable to surgery depending on its position.

The other thing to think about really is: is it going to be harmful if it is left alone there? What effect is it having on the guys health?

If it is causing problems, maybe medications can help there.
