Yes it is safe. The greatest risk is if you have a tan during treatment because the laser will interact with the melanin from the tan and could burn your skin.
I had my neck treatments 6 years ago and the hair is still gone. My wife had her underarms and bikini line done and she is happy as well.
Make sure you go to someone with plenty of experience who is using fairly new technology. The two greatest factors in getting poor results are old or poor equipment and practioners who use incorrect settings.
The attached site(s) rate providers based on in depth customer survey scores. If providers get bad scores they drop them from their program.

It is 100% safe - the only caveats are that you generally need 3 treatments. Only 1/3 of your hairs are "growing" at any given time, and the laser only totally neutralizeds growing hair. Also, it's totally cosmetic so there's not an insurance company on the planet that will cover it, and it's quite expensive.

It is safe. I have a friend who had her armpit hair removed 3 years ago and it's still gone. Her husband and my husband are currently having their neck hair (below the chin) removed and they are on their 6th treatment, looks like it might take 8 treatments to get it all. We have found the prices to be reasonable now that there are so many people doing it, just make sure they are certified.

I know people who have it done.I have never heard of any dangers. The hair is supposed to stay off but I believe that is only for @ a year.Check with your local hair removal professional. They can be found in the yellow pages and will answer any questions for free and might be able to provide you with additional pamphlets.Good Luck.

I know people who have gotten this done and found it very effective. Its safe and the hair does not grow back. Its very expensive though - around $5,000 for the whole body for women.
