the breeder will have extra copies of the pedigree and all the papers. dogs are just like cattle, the breeder has to keep papers (i breed registered holsteins), and if you contact the association to where the dog is registered, there is a small fee but you can get copies of your papers.

Another dog or another set of papers?
Contact your breeder - they should still have copies.
If you had already registered the dog with the AKC then contact them, they will issue duplicates for a price.

If you are talking about AKC registration papers, you will need to contact the AKC for a duplicate. If these are puppy papers that you had not sent in yet, then you will need to contact the breeder and have them request a duplicate from the AKC. You will need to pay the fee either way for this.

You have to go to the breeder you purchased the dog from and there will probably be a fee, unless the breeder you purchased your dog from is exceptionally generous.
