If you are referring to the office of "saint" that the Catholic church appoints to people, the first requirement is that you be Catholic. So you would have to have some kind of "religion" commitment to that church to become a saint.

In the Protestant churches, there is no office of "saint". Rather then word is used to mean any person who has made a comittment of their life to follow Christ. Every Christian is considered a "saint". So, again, it would take a religion awakening - a commitment to Christ - to become a saint.

No one can become a saint. But one can be a saint. The difference between becoming and being is striving and letting go. Becoming involves efforts towards reaching a personal goal. Any personal seeking, including seeking saintliness for oneself is bondage. Saintly being demands letting go and promotes liberation. No efforts for own progress. All actions are motiveless and there are no attachments for the outcome of actions.

Saints such as what the catholic church says does not exist, man can't make a saint.

A saint is a godly person. You must live a godly life accept Jesus and live by his teachings.

Only the Catholic church makes "saints" out of people. This is not a biblical practice. In the bible, any believer in Christ is referred to as a saint.

not to nitpick but if you were a saint I don't think you're 'normal'.

That said, sainthood itself is BS and what the world needs is good people, not saints (oh yeah, and all saints are dead - so if you're dead-set [rimshot] on becoming a saint, that'd be a start).

All things are possible with God.

Saints were not perfect....just read about Paul, St. Augustine, Daniel etc., etc. They overcame sin just as we all can with the desire to do so.
