Prior to birth we lived as spirit children of a Heavenly Father. He provided this earth for us to learn and to grow to become more like Him under conditions uniquely suited to allow that to happen.

God teaches us true principles through a variety of methods including our conscience, prophets, scriptures, prayer,..., but there are also competing ideas allowed to force us to understand and not just obey through blind obedience.

We're told what's right and wrong, but we're also given the opportunity to experience what happens when people make both good and bad choices. This allows us to better understand true principles of happiness.

The objective of life is then to reach our potential by coming to understand and incorporate into our lives the true principles of growth, development, and happiness, and to help others do the same.

To cooperate with God for the development of a Christlike character before death and use all our talents, abilities and gifts to win others to Christ influencing them to make this preparation for heaven also.

God's gift of immortality will be given to those who have received His grace while alive on this earth to become like Christ in character so that they may live eternally in a kingdom of love, purity and righteousness.

A Christlike character is the only kind of character that could enjoy heaven and the only kind of character that could be trusted in heaven.

Some people say that the objective of life is to get closer and closer to god. I say that the objective to life is to live, experience what there is to the fullest- nothing is more rewarding.

For me its to know Christ and grow closer to him, and to learn more about him from the word of God. When I am doing the above things then everything in life will flow as it should be.

What life?
Jesus said to the disciple who wanted to go bury his own father: "let the dead bury his own dead."
Are we alive or we started dying the moment we saw the light?
The objective is to see that this carnal life is detestable. (And Jehovah's Witnesses claim this is becoming eternal)
