i filed ch 7- 5 years ago i asked my att. if i could do what your asking he said no

you can pay people back if you wish but it wont help your credit very much

however in some cases you may cut a deal with your creditors if you pay them in full will they remove your
neg. credit item from your report removing it is the only way
to help your credit

i would us your new money to get and keep good new credit

good luck

I doubt it, it's already done, you've already paid the lawyer, (you're not getting that money back!!!), and I'm sure all your creditors have written it off. And, it's already on your credit report and it just doesn't disappear, even if you go back and pay up. I think that'd be a bigggggg waste of money. Just put your money in a good money making venture, where it will work for you, and just move on. Oh, and don't make the same mistakes again that caused the bankruptcy. Since you have some money, buy the things you need with cash and don't get into debt again.

This is a good question for your backruptcy atty. It is true a bkcy discharge will stay in your credit report but there are ways of improving it again.
Find out which bank will give you a Secured Credit Card, since not every bank have this type of credit card. Don't pay it off each month, leave a small balance in it. This will show you can handle credit again and will improve your credit score.

Can you pay them back? Yes.

Does it repair your credit history? No. You STILL once declared bankruptcy - however, Chapter 7 often improves your score because many people were already in so much trouble.

But this is a question for your attorney.

Will, yes you can pay it back, but it will not erase the bankruptcy from your credit file.

Once a bankruptcy is filed, even if it's dismissed it remains on your credit bureau for 10-years.
