If you think praying is a waste of time, then don't pray.
The bible says that the prayers of a righteous man avails much. I am not righteous in myself, I am righteous because of the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ, who is my savior.
Therefore I believe just the opposite, that prayer is very powerful. And today is the National Day of Prayer, so I will be doing just that.

I know that God will always "hear" my prayer. There have been prayers answered right away, while others took 10 years.
There have been "not so important" prayers and prayers that required immediate attention.
I have noticed that the ones that I've needed immediate attention on were answered immediately.
The ones that I doubted he would ever answer took ten years.

For you I agree, praying is a waste of time, If you feel that way about it you will never get a prayer answered. As for me and many of my family and friends prayers are being answered everyday. Prayer without faith is useless.

I was always taught that God listened to everything with an open heart. The bible says that as well.
If your a strong enough christian you would know deep down whether you should pray or not.

Praying is worth every second of my time, I have faith, I have no doubts and my prayers are continuously answered.

I don't think it says anywhere in the old testament that prayer is required. and there is no reference that says you shouldn't doubt. So, if you dont' feel the need to pray, don't bother. When the time comes, you'll pray with no problem, guaranteed.

That's why you have a network of prayer warriors that pray with you and for you. Jesus said Where there are two or more gathered in my name, I am also there.

Nice try, but no. LOL
If at first you don't suceed, try again.
The Bible also says if you have faith even the size of the smallest mustard seed you can move mountains. So, I don't know about you, but I'm not giving up. I'm gonna keep praying, Brother. God hears all and knows all and He loves us.

Scientific studies have shown that praying does not help patients recover any faster or better than someone who is not prayed for. As a matter of fact, sometimes their condition worsens. Seriously. The studies are there.
