I'm in the north of England and fancied treating the missus to a spa weekend. I fancied spending about £200 each and wondered if anyone knew of any good deals or nice hotels?

Try Seaham Hall and Luxary Spa. Only 20 minutes from Newcastle and it's supposed to be amazing. Around £225 - £300 per person per night but you get bed and breakfast and spa services at no extra cost. I guess it's fairly expensive but they may be able to offer a special deal.
There is also MacDOnald Hotel and Spa in Berwick Matfeand n Hall hotel in Northumberland who do a one night Spa Escape from £180 per person. Based on two adults sharing, 2 night Spa Escape from £285 per person. Based on two adults sharing.
