What audio System do they use in the movies?

I need a good audio system. a good microphone and a good audio program. Anyone have any ideas of what type of microphone and prgram i can get?

Hollywood is using the latest and the greatest. We're talking about multi-million dollar equipment. Mostly digital based since the quality is unsurpassed. If you going to do something at your house, you're best off getting a studio microphone from your local music instrument shop and for non linear editing system.. You can use adobe premier, pinnacle studio, true targe solution,.. etc.
