Yes, it's true. That's why a lot of tattoo shops opened up in the suburbs. I think it had something to do with hepatitis disease.

They wanted to ban it due to the fact that Hepatitis C is spread through using the same ink for multiple people

no it is not true they were going to ban it but they had a vote but it did not happen me mate got a tattoo from new york last week good luck by

i herd this too but as im from yorkshire and havn't been im not sure...
a few tattooists i know have mentioned it before so i think its prob true!
