1. Time of Allah is incomparable to earthly time
The Qur’an says in two verses, (22:47 and 32:5), that the measure of one day in the sight of Allah is equal to 1,000 years of our reckoning. In another verse (70:4) it says that the measure of one day in the sight of Allah is equal to 50,000 years of our reckoning.
These verses generally mean that the time of Allah (swt) is incomparable to the earthly time. The examples given are of one thousand years and fifty thousand years of the earthly time. In other words thousands of years or a very, very long time of the earth a day in the sight of Allah is equal to:
2. Yaum also means Period
The Arabic word used in all these three verses is yaum, which, besides meaning a day also means a long period, or an epoch. If you translate the word yaum correctly as ‘period’ there will be no confusion.
a) The verse from Surah Hajj reads as:
"Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! but Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning".
[Al-Qur’an 22:47]
When the unbelievers asked to hasten the punishment the Qur’an says Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a period in the sight of Allah is like a thousand years of your reckoning.
b) The verse from Surah Al-Sajdah says:
"He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up? To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning".
[Al-Qur’an 32:5]
This verse indicates that a period required for all the affairs to go up to Allah (swt), is a thousand years of our reckoning.
c) A verse from Surah Al-Maarij says:
"The angels and the spirit ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years".
[Al-Qur’an 70:4]
This verse means that the period required for angels and the spirits to ascend unto Allah (swt) is fifty thousand years.
d) The period for two different acts need not be the same. For example the period required for me to travel to destination ‘A’ say Vashi is one hour and the period required for me to travel to destination ‘B’ i.e. Kashmir is 50 hours. This does not indicate that I am making two contradictory statements.
Thus the verses of the Qur’an not only do not contradict each other, they are also in perfect harmony with established modern scientific facts.
Therfore still perfect and flawless!

Dear All Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmathullah With reference to this verse of Holy Quran 2:259, the person's name and other details are not mentioned either in Holy Quran or in any Saheeh Ahadeeth of Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam. While Mufassireen had mentioned that he was Prophet Armia and Prophet uzair alaihissalaam. Some have even said that he was Kafir. Similarly it is conflicting which place was it? Baitul Muqaddas which was plundered by Bakht Nasr in 582 A,D and when the people passed by the plundered city, they were wondering, how this city could be inhabited again? They might have taken the references of other religious books and not Holy Quran or Hadeeth. Well, the best course we need to take in this regard is to be silent as Allah and His Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam are silent. May Allah guide All of Us towards Salvation Aameen.

Read it more carefully. There are different things being mentioned.
"Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! but Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning". (22:47)
"He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up? To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning". (32:5)
"The angels and the spirit ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years". (70:4)
The word used to describe the word "Day" is also used to describe the phrase, "A Time Period". It generally excepted by Muslims that the word "Youm" is used to define a "Time Period" not an actual day. Different events will take different lengths of time.

The Christian Bible has this;
(2 Peter 3:8) However, let this one fact not be escaping YOUR notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.
It is symbolic in how Jehovah God views the passing of time.
It is not literal.
And yet Revelation states that Satan will be locked away for a thousand years. this is literal.
Methuselah lived to JUST SHORT of a thousand years.
Tied in with this literal time is the ages that the Patriarchs lived. It helps establish the time that man has been in existence on the earth since Adam and Eve.

A day can be any length. Usually, the context reviels the length. Old people always say, "Back in my day..." refering to a period of a week to several years. This is understood. Time for a creature living forever outside earth, could be much longer. The Bible for instance, specifically says of God "a thousand years is one day" and by inference, the creative days were 7,000 years long.

God is outside time
God created time
time flows at different rates in the universe anyhow, it slows down as gravity increases for example
"1 day with the Lord is as a thousand years AND a thousand years is as a day" from Peter is not a formula but a simple statement that very long or very short time periods are the same to God who is not like us. God is outside time.
an interesting discussion on time is
"starlight and time" by creationist Russ Humphreys which takes a big step toward explaining how 6 days could occur on earth while time could go faster on the edge of the universe as God stretched out the heavens created the universe

You're trying to use logic on a book of bronze-age mythology?
Sorry man but you'll fail at that task every time.
Remember, it's mythology, not reality.
