Don't listen to people who say tone, they have no clue what theyr'e talking about. The word tone doesn't even exist, firming the body up? The body can only do 4 things, lose fat, gain fat, lose muscle mass, gain muscle mass.

The "tone" people are refering to is the temporary pump effect of the blood rushing to the muscle which gives a firm feeling. Muscle definition comes from low bodyfat they could also be refering to "tone" as muscle definition. "Tone" also can be used to describe lose fat in a targeted area, this
cannot be done, when you lose fat you lose fat from all over your body through a calorie deficit, you cannot target fat loss through any type of excercise. Im getting seriously annoyed at bad advice on here.

To the question. Running is an AID in burning calories. You lose fat by consuming a calorie deficit, which means burning more calories then you consume. Running increase those calories burned. If i were to eat 2300 calories to maintain my bodyweight, i would consume 1900 to lose fat. A 1 hour jog burns 300 calories so i now am using 1600 calories a day, and burning 700 calories through cardio and diet.

Their are 3500 calories in 1lb of fat, therefore i am burning 4900 calories a week which is about 1.5-1.7lbs of fat.

This is the basic of fat loss, you can get more detailed with the diet and cardio methods, but make it simple. Dont eat before running, and keep hydrated, good luck.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Yes, running actually does help you loose weight but you have to run at least half an hour because in the first 30 minutes your body will use its muscle energy, then it will start to burn off fat. A good way to run is called brisk walking (where you twist your hips while running), but if you want my advice go swimming because you use every single part of your body when you swim so this makes you loose weight even quicker. Hope this helps !!

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

Yoga can be a great friend in every diet. It's all about hormones balance. There are no "bad" hormones. But when hormones get unbalanced, bad things happen in your body. Your body releases cortisol when you're under stress. It's part of the whole “fight or flight” response. Increased cortisol levels could be making you fat. The kind of fat you are most likely to store from elevated cortisol is called visceral fat — the dangerous belly fat that’s linked to diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.

I'm following this great online program that teaches how to use YOGA to lose weight. You should check it out as well. This is the link of the site: http://yogafitness.toptips.org

Running is exercise and excercise helps you to lose weight. But you still need to eat healthily as well. Scoffing a dozen chocolate bars and a Maccy D's and then running a mile will not help!!
