Normal body temperature for a dog is 38.0-39.0 celsius (100.5-102.5 fahrenheit)

Chalice... pretty sure that the first poster said celsius, so are you sure you are a vet nurse(whatever that is)?
the normal range would be 100 to 102 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on breed, age, etc.

A little warmer than your finger, to check insert your finger into the dogs rear end (don't forget to spit on it first), if it feels cool than you have a problem, if it feels warm then you're ok

It most probably should be room temperature or higher. well not more than 40 degree celcius.
