She'd have to die on a cross, not a mattress

The question is written strangely but I think I know what you want to know.

The nails did not kill anybody. He wasn't nailed to a cross but a one piece of wood. That is another matter.

The main objective was torture, then death. Put both arms straight up over your head and stretch. How's your breathing? Can't catch your breath? Now imagine your hands being nailed that way and your feet nailed with your knees bent. The only way to breathe is to push up with your knees. Of course, you can only keep that up for a short time and sink down. Repeat till either you die or soldiers stab you with a spear.

LOL. Thats funny. However, you seem to be confused on how people die on crosses. They don't die from nails or blood loss. When one is on a cross, the lungs are pressured for air. One must put weight on the feet to pull themselves up for the lungs to grasp some air. When your feet are nailed, this is extremely painful. After a while, one cannot bear the pain anymore and gives up trying to pull themselves up for air. Also, the bible says that when the lance pierced Jesus's side, blood and water came out of the wound. Scientists put that down to heart failure.
