Paganism was around before christianity. After Christianity was developed (or whatever) the christians basically burnt everything that had to do with paganism...i.e. records, temples, documents and such. Paganism is not mythology. If it's a myth that means it's not real or not proven. And I assure you it is real. The Venerable Bede (a english priest born in 672) wrote a book called "The History of the English Church and People". In it he tells about how the Christian's came and destroyed the Pagan religion, and how people were forced to convert to Christianity.

The horns and hoof ingredient--it relatively is merely a number of mankind's rendering. it relatively is there just to locate the devil. Nowhere does the Bible say, nor do Christians have faith, that the devil has horns. The devil=devil=Lucifer, replaced into an attitude in heaven previously falling faraway from God. i do no longer think of angles have horns and hoofs. The Bible teaches that angles can come to earth. As such (by fact the Bible teaches) a individual must be in the business employer of an attitude and not even comprehend it. have you ever seen a individual walking around( different than dressed up on Halloween) that had horns and hoofs? Nope. Christians comprehend that Dec. 25 isn't the suited date. no person is time-honored with of for helpful what the actually date replaced into so, Dec. 25 replaced into merely chosen. it ought to easily as actually been in January, might, in spite of. it relatively isn't any longer the date it relatively is venerated, it relatively is the actuality that Jesus replaced into born in human nature that counts. Why does the date of Easter substitute on occasion? Does it substitute in the different faith too? have been there witnesses to this experience in the different religions? How do you comprehend which faith got here first? the place did this different god ascend to? Christians do no longer worship colored eggs or bunny's you will locate no such ingredient in the Bible. The eggs and bunny ingredient--it relatively is a youngsters ingredient and not worshiped.

Remember that true Christainity is based on the Bible. Examine which teachings are from the Bible. Any that are not, dismiss that religion.

Two examples: trinity and immortality of the soul
Neither is taught IN the Bible. They are part of pagan teachings. Without giving any belief of my own, look in the very back of your Bible. There should be a concordance. Look under soul. There will be a reference "soul that is sinning". See what it says.

Trinity is not found anywhere. There are many references of Jesus saying his Father was greater than he. Jesus did say they were one but reading the rest of the sentences surrounding that one, you find he was talking about being in agreement with each other. Most of us have said that at one time or another.

Using the same process, you eleminate the pagan teaching and the religions that believe in them and you find the True Religion worshipping in the way God approves.

I fail to the see the reason for trying to unravel one set of mythology from another set of mythology other than as a pointless intellectual exercise.

Most Christians don't realize that alot of their beliefs all have pagan beginnings. Easter for example one of their biggest holidays. Look up Estora, a pagan god, a fertility holiday. The rabbit, a fertility symbol. Easter eggs.....hmmm . Another one is Yule pagan holiday again. It is common for Christmas card to say "Yuletide greetings" and its pagan...

Impossible. "Paganism" itself is mixed into everything (names of planets, days of the week, months, birthdays, wedding celebrations & wedding rings... etc...etc..) It would be impossible for anyone to take Pagan mythology out of Christianity, let alone anything else.

Anyone for a little Mithras or ISIS? And then the Christians say Paganism is from the devil, lol. Actually the whole world and every scholar knows where Christianity came from, only the Christians don’t know.

I dont think that will happen. If you took out that element you would have nothing left. The virgin birth, resurrection, miracles are all found in other so called pagan religions. Isn't that the crux of christianity?

well, you could go back to the religion Jesus practiced- Judaism, but even they have pagan beliefs incorporated into their own. You'd be getting closer though.
