No idea what the person before me was replying to, because it certainly wasn't a food question. According to the manafacturer, you should store Bailey's in a refrigerator. If you open it it can be drank for up to 6 months (2 years if it is left unopen). It does of course contain cream, so will go lumpy and curdle if not stored properly, which would be dangerous, but if left in the friedge should be ok for months.

Baileys is the only cream liqueur that guarantees a totally natural product that delivers that unique, smooth Baileys taste for 24 months from the day it was made. One of the keys to achieving this is the artful blending of fresh Irish cream and aged Irish whiskey - two products that are not normally compatible. This is achieved through a combination of art and science and without the use of additives or preservatives, which results in the alcohol acting as a natural preservative for the product. How we do this must remains a closely guarded secret, which contributes to producing the world's favorite liqueur. Baileys should be stored away from direct sunlight at a temperature range of 41-95 degrees Fahrenheit (5-35 degrees Centigrade). You don't have to refrigerate your bottle, but we would recommend it - and it tastes even better when chilled! Fluctuating its temperature too much will cause it to go lumpy - so try and always keep it roughly at the same temperature. The storage conditions are the same for sealed or opened bottles. If you are concerned about a bottle of Baileys - all bottles now carry a best before date - check the “Best consumed before” date on the bottle. Have you exceeded the date? If you cannot find a date on the bottle, have you had the bottle for longer than 24 months? You don't have to worry if you have - it is still fine to drink - it just won't taste as good as usual. We wouldn't recommend drinking it if it has gone lumpy or the mixture has separated though.

Never expires to drink, but it will separate in the bottle. I have a case here from 2001 and it has separated but the liquid still tastes fine...mostly alcohol! I just pour it out into a strainer. I owned a liquor store so I do have some experience. I just had a Belgium lambic from 2002 Raspberry Framboise, it was even better than when I had it in 2002 and it is a beer! I did open a bottle of white zinfandel from 2001 and it was like vinegar and nasty but most stuff stays drinkable for years if the alcohol content is high enough.

Yes, not very soon, but I had a bottle in my cupboard for about a year and it turned thick and gross and it looked like it had gone bad. There must be an expiration date, it doesn't matter if it has been oppened or not, as long as you are within the expiration dated you should be fine.

I'm not to sure but I do have a similar recipe, and you cannot taste the difference! 300ml of cream. 1.tin of sweetened condensed milk. 1. cup of whisky or add to taste! 1. bottle of chocolate topping. 2. egg whites. And a drop of coconut essence. Pour all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until combined. then pour into bottles and refrigerate until using. If you wish to thin it down a bit, just add more milk. Easy! Have a good day.
