For me, it's sheep's brains! I didn't know it at the time until I learned afterwards what it was.

Definitely beondegi, steamed silkworm pupae. Ate them in Korea on the street. Wish I'd just eaten the street. I think their little fat legs are still caught in my teeth 9 years later.

I also once ate a ladybug, but that was not by choice. Damned brother!

Once, I had a shooter made up of several different kinds of raw items from a sushi bar. There was a raw quail egg on top. A few of the items were so fresh they were still quivering. It was not disgusting at all to me and my friend. Everyone I describe it to goes Ewwwww. I can't imagine why=)

What is disgusting to some is good to others.
Everybody says tripe is disgusting when it sells at the same price as reasonably priced Steak, I question that.
Oysters are even more pricey and even more disgusting.

Both, are the guts of the creature, so why should the guts of an oyster be more of a delicacy than that of an ox?

Eat with your eyes closed and don't ask.

Even mountain oysters can be delectable as long as you don't ask.

I got to say mine was Fois Gras, never been able to eat it since even though it seems to being served everywhere I go in London. Just tasted chalky and nausea inducing.

As for the person who said black pudding was discusting, I would say that the idea is a lot worse than the taste

If I eat the food, it's not disgusting. It may be to others but I could care less.
Some of the foods I tried. Rattlesnake, alligator, squirrel, rabbit, snails, brains, hog testicles, bull penis, chicken & duck feet, animal intestines and chocolate covered ants. Disgusting no, tasty yes!

My parents tricked me to eating cow liver when I was four. I don't know why I wasn't asking what it was.
And then there was the time I went out to eat w/ all my relatives and they served a whole plate of fried frog legs. No one bothered to tell me what it was. I just assumed it was chicken since my family is chinese. They all made fun of me in Mandrin (I only understood Cantonese then).
Embarassing and Disgusting

I won't eat anything disgusting or weird, and my family knows this.
My Grandmother made squirrel stew and said it was chicken. One taste and I knew it wasn't, but disgusting only because of what it was. I love squirrels, but not to eat them!
My uncle had gone hunting and that is all he could bring back, I didn't like him much after that.

Worm inside a tequila candy sucker. Took 4 shots of Tequila to eat the sucker and two shots to swallow the worm. And my best friend to remind me the next day what I had done!
