I am not a christian. But recently, I have been facing lotsa of problems and my health is kind of weaking. I was lost and desperate. But suddenly, a name of this well-known church came into mind. I had the urge to visit it. So I logged on to the website. And as I was reading the Letters to the beloved Mother Mary, I just couldn't stop crying. Tears were flowing freely. I had this sense of hope.

So I am going to the church tommorrow. I just want to know since it is my first time..what shld I do? Like how should I pray and when I enter the church what shld I do first? And stuffs like that,,,

By the way, is there any simple prayer for Mother Mary? And also where can I get a bible..and is there any specific types for those who are new to the christian faith?

How do I officially become a christian?

First of all, do not say prayers to Mary, she cannot help you. There is only one name by which we are saved, and that name is Jesus Christ. Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except by ME.
You can buy a Bible anywhere, the best to get is the authorized 1611 King James Bible (KJ). There are lots of prayer to Mary but none will help. I am not sure if Jesus denied His mother why we have religions devoted to her claiming she is the only way to God.
I invite you to visit the website listed below and sign up. Let me know who you are and how you got the link so that I can help you. I can't figure out how to change the membership requirements.
I will hook you up with other sites also that will help. My desire is to see you saved and set free, so I plead with you to read your Bible, especially the New Testament for the help you need and contact the website and drop an email here or there if you have other questions.
My wife and I will pray for you salvation.

Am personally protestant but i will guide you first try and make it on time to avoid you know drawing attention to your self by coming in late.

The catholic procedure is rather invoving with alot of sitting and standing up and kneeling and responses to the priest, just follow what the rest of the people do, the kneeling part is not compulsory if i understand it right ,you have an option of sitting, during this time. About the responses dont feel left out it takes time to get to know them first christian or not

Then there is holy communion(right after the kneeling part) which is representative of the last supper and is not taken by everyone (i would sit this one out if i were you, its ok to do that) after that there is singing then the priest blessses you then more singing and its over.

About the bible i believe there should be one in every bookshop, am sure we are not from the same country so i hope yours stocks bibles. I would go for a good news bible it has simple english (not the thou art stuff) and so easy to understand.

I have no ideas on Mother Mary prayers because i dont pray to her.

All the best with this

Sweetie...pay NO attention to the "jerks" that make fun of your ?!
I think it is WONDERFUL that you are wanting to get into a church.
I don't know anything about the Catholic church, so I can not tell you much about mother Mary.
I am a christian. In the BIBLE, it teaches you to pray to GOD & to do so in HIS SON JESUS's holy name.
To become a christian and ask for GOD's forgiveness, all you have to do is ask HIM. Confess of ALL your sins, even if they do NOT seem that important to you. Even though HE already knows ALL, HE wants to hear from you. Ask HIM to come into your heart and into your life. HE will forgive you of all your sins.
To purchase a BIBLE, you can find one at a store like WalMart in the book section, or you can go to a christian bookstore & find one there. I don't know how your financial situation is, but WalMart will be a lot less costly than a christian book store, and the BIBLE's are the same.
Be sure to get a KING JAMES VERSION of the BIBLE.
Once you buy it, start reading it, from the beginning. I can tell you now that there will be parts that you might find rather "boring", and that you will want to skip, but DON'T.....read all of it. You do NOT have to feel as if you need to read it all right away, but if you can read a chapter a day, you will feel good.
Find a good church and start attending, as regular as possible. I KNOW with health problems at times it can be hard to do, but TRY to go each Sunday. Being new to the faith, this is especially important.
I wish you luck with your new found faith!
As for your problems, and your health problems, I will pray for you.
From personal experience I want to tell you.....do NOT get down hearted if you do NOT get the "results" that you think you should. Sometimes what we want is NOT what GOD wants. I have a LOT of medical problems that I do NOT understand, and have wondered why, but I know that there is a reason, and through my faith I know that GOD does NOT give any of us more than we can handle.
Stay strong & GOD BLESS YOU!!!

If you chose the catholic faith i suggest you buy an nab bible or regular catholic. you can find those at christian bookstores. just pray what's in your heart and don't let anyone try and change your mind. right now people will try to talk you out of going to church but don't let them. you make the sign of the cross when you enter church and when you get to the pew and kneel down just say a prayer that comes to your heart. God bless. sylvester you shouldn't tell them what church to go to . and prayers to mary aren't praying to her but asking her to pray for you.

Dear Friend
Mary is not the answer for your problem. Jesus is the answer. Mary is dead but Jesus is alive. Just ask Jesus Christ to heal you as he gave up his life on the cross to pay the remission for your sins and also he bore all your disease on the cross. Christianity is not a religion it is a wonderful relationship with Christ. God knows every detail about you. You just pray this:
"Lord Jesus I ask you to come into my life. I receive you as my personal savior. I have a lot of problems please help me. Amen.
My friend if u have prayed that prayer you have Jesus in your heart and now you can cast your burden onto Him for He cares for you.

King Jesus had made it very simple to become His disciple. In Golgtha, the man hanging on his side simply said: "Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom!" And he gained salvation and eternal life in paradise. [Luke 23:39-43].
Jesus makes it simple also for you. Just say a simple prayer like this: "Jesus, I want to break loose from Satan's governance; please accept me into your Kingdom right now. I am yours in my wholeness and you are my King. Don't ever let somebody drifts me away from my faith to you! Every satanic angels must be cast out from my life, and the Spirit of Jesus will resides in my heart for eternity. In Jesus' name I pray."
You can even say that prayer now, without waiting until Sunday, because Jesus is always available for help, anytime! Be blessed!

You don't have to pray through mary. mary is human according to the Bible.

what for pray to her, when you can pray directly to Jesus. the Bible tells us, we can approach His throne of grace confidently because of His death. to say that we cannot approach Him directly in any circumstance is to nullify His power on the cross.

you can pray directly to Jesus, who died for your sins, and who will lead you out of your problems.

i think you have approached a catholic church. you should go to an evangelical christian church.

pray directly to the Lord. His death has brought you joy! not mary, :)

if you so wish,

just say a prayer, to confess your sin, thank The Lord for dyin on the cross for you, and renounce all other gods that you have prayed to before.

Thinking that invisible things are around you, watching you, listening to you, influencing your life are all symptoms of delusional mental disorder. This disorder can evolve in a very serious mental disease called schizophrenia. You should seek help from a psychiatrist as soon as possible. This will help you. Sinking in delusion will not.

honestly prayer and worship should only be for God. praying to Mary will do nothing, as prayer must be directed at God only. God is the master of the day of judgement, not Mary, God created the world not Mary, God forgives sins, not Mary.

You really should try to face up to your problems. I know what its like to have tough times, you can't go running after false hope. Emotionally reactions are valid, but usually incorrect.
