On occasion I get a severe earache. It is on the outside of my ear. My doctor seen nothing wrong, but said I need blood work and might have a tumor in the canal going to my throat. It feels as if someone punched my ear. Meds don't help of course. Anyone ever have this problem, was it solved and how? Any suggestions? Many thanks.

I have had problems with earache before that turned out once to be because of an infection and the other time a pimple in my ear.

I would recommend consulting an ear, nose, and throat specialist about this if you haven't already to see what they think could be going on because it sounds like you might have a ruptured eardrum or something like that.

I seem to have this same or similar earache. My ear gets very tender, almost hot. I use a Q-Tip and cold water and get some relief. As I type this I am dealing with another moment. I dont know what is causing it. I thought maybe it had to do with diet as it seems to begin after I eat sweets or chocolate but this is not always the case. I think a visit to the Dr. is in my future as this pain is so intense that I cannot function without being very irritable. The pain seems to extend to the rear of my jaw making me think it could be dental related. The area all around the ear is so sensitive that the lightest pressure/touch brings immediate deep pain. I will try and come back to post any results. Good luck.

I've had pain like that and it was an ear infection. I used garlic capsules.. cut them open and squeeze the liquid from them into my ears. Do this 3-4 times per day. It seems to work wonders for me and my children.

Try using some Samilison drops to at least take the pain away. Good luck, sweetheart!

Don't screw around. Get your blood work done. Get a second opinion if need be. It could be something as simple as what side of your face you lie on the pillow when you sleep, but why mess around?

Possibility of tumor is almost zero. It is nerve problem i think.
Acupuncture is the best solution. If it fails then go for tumor exams.

i'd take him to the medical doctors as without delay as you'd be able to, it will be an infection, or he would purely pick some extra powerful ailment killers and/or anti inflammatory remedy. at the same time as i had my tonsils out, i develop into in excruciating ailment also, such plenty purely so even sipping soup harm like hell, it grew to develop into out that they had sprained my jaw on an similar time as taking the tonsils out, so it will be that. like i discussed, i evaluate the great aspect will be to take him to the medical doctors.
