Until Aum everyone answered a question that wasn't asked. The question was direct. Here in the west we have had unworthy teachers. Is this hard to see, look! It's not the answerers fault they have been misled. ~ : (

Aum: Well said. Although I still don't know what a soul is. ~ : )

Jon C: Yes evil follows an evil doer. Why does an evil doer do evil? Because he does not know the "nature" of "things". To do good is better but that can be a subtle trap. And this madness, isn't it wonder-full? No permanate self? Everything is the sound and action of one hand clapping, you know that. ~ : ) I agree, there is much suffering, why is this? Unworthy teachers have been teaching. It could be that what we are doing is having an "affect" such that some are starting to awake somewhat from the world dream. Money has been thrown at the problem of suffering for years, and so called good works to. The truth happens one person at a time. Can it be any other way? ~ : )

Sunman: Yes, who is it that answers this question. Because you answered in this way most "normal" people might consider you mad. Isn't this "madness" wonder-full? Moving on, separate ways? Where did this come from? In sacred unity there is no separation You know there is only one truth expressed in different ways, this is the transendance of karma. Are we feeling a bit of the coyote today? ~ : )

Not really. I know I have a hand in it and I know karma can be transcended, but who is it that answers your question? Are we moving on and/or going our separate ways?
Is this karma?

-----yes, mad but not angry, I think I ate a coyote.

-----check, mike check, is this thing on?
Are we the last ones left alive?

Whooo, CD! That's a dodgy one.
Sakyamuni said, "Suffering follows the evil doer as the cart follows the horse". He must have meant something by that.
He also warned that if you try to follow the course of Karma it'll drive you mad. It's something that only buddhas can do, apparently.
At another level there is no permanant me, but this apparent me can certainly generate Karma.
While we are talking like this, people are still suffering.
Be present in the moment and let Karma look after itself, say I.
(I believe that in the Void there is no Karma, but I can't say it from personal knowledge).

We sew and we reap but the person giving out the karma is Krishna. But He has superintendents of this material world running it on His behalf. They are called demi gods. Each situation has a different demi-god. They are not God But his representative servants Krishna is the original name and form of God and all other expansions (incarnations) emanate from Him. I am completely uneducated in any type of religion nor the different definitions of karma. I just know somehow, that if you do bad things, bad things will come to you. If you do good, the same is true. I believe that is just a unwritten rule of the universe of common sense everyone should just automatically understand.

According to the Buddhist view:
We all project karma through our actions.
For example, if you have good intentions and habits then most of your actions will yield good karma.
If you constantly have hate, bitterness, selfishness, you will be out of sync and produce bad karma.
There is no worshiping involved.
It is about mindfulness and good intentions.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. We make our own karma through our actions and the motivation behind those actions. It is like the saying, "What you sow, you reap."
Or "What goes around, comes around." In other words, the way we choose to live our lives comes back to us.

We all make and receive karma. It is the direct result of the energy we send out into the universe. As far as worshiping, I'm nor sure I understand what you mean.

The individual ego which is nothing but a vague reflection of the soul into the Nature.

(Soul here is the Universal consciousness...the Excellence... or God)

this ego sees its consciousness, not into its real source....the soul, but through mind and body....and thinks it is the doer and hence gets entagled into the web of Karma

In Hindu philosophy this phenomenon is called "Adhyaas" apparent attachement of ego with the lower nature...and thus binding itself to the Karma

In True terms, the lower nature is trying to free itself from the web of cosmos and trying to reach its original sourse which is Sat-Chit-Anand (Truth - pure consciousness-Bliss)... or the the Excellence, providence, universal consciousness.... or God

According to what I know of Hinduism, karma is just a fixed law of nature just like gravity or e=mc^2. There's no deity who keeps a massive scorecard or anything...

Usually it is the butch partner who sows and the childish one who reaps. Sometimes it is the other way round. It depends on their unwritten rules regarding this awful practice. As a gay or lesbian, I am sure you will 'pick it up' along the way.
