I watch t.v. a lot. And on the shows I like I pretend I am one of the characters. And before going to sleep I think about them especially the lead actor and actress. And the only thing that will ease me is when I know that they are dating each other. What should I do?

See a doctor. Get some friends. Stop watching TV.

I read once that an actress had a baby on a show in a new york hospital(not in real life, on the show) and thousands of people called the hospital to ask about her, leading me to believe that many people are out of touch with reality. I think you are the victim of too much mindless clutter. I don't ever watch TV, I spend my free time online. In real life, these people collect a paycheck and may not even like each other. Make a life for yourself honey, don't waste it.

so is it you like you actually think that you know them because it seems as though you know the difference and that you don't really think that you know them. if you think about them because you really want to meet them then that would be fairly normal and if you fall asleep with the tv on, if you go to bed right after watching tv then that too is normal to think about what you watched. but if you really like pretend that you know them or that you are dating them, then you might have some delusion problems that need to be dealt with. and then in that case you should talk to a psychiatrist and a therapist. maybe go for a while without watching tv. i don't know. i hope this helps

Know that this is a fun fantasy world and not to be mistaken for the real thing. There is nothing wrong with fantasies, you are not the only one. Also, don't watch so much TV, read a book.

I think that you should probably avoid watching a lot of TV. Keep urself busy with other stuff which may interest u...like reading books or talking to friends, keep urself occupied with some hobbies etc....this would certainly help u keep ur mind off unwanted things.

I got those experiences before/ However, try not to think about them too much.. you can engage in more activities to keep your mind occupied. Personally.. i think that imagining urself as the actor/ actress is ok.. just dont let it become an obbession. :)

You need some serious therapy. Even the reality shows on television are not reality!!!

I dont see a problem in this. If you would like you should visit a psychiatrist. Talk to them about it.
