Well, we know there is such as thing as being truly uninformed.

This, friends, is a wonderful example of someone jumping to a conclusion based on limited knowledge and personal assumption.

I have already faced death more than once, and I never for a second thought about god or an afterlife, so your assumption is WRONG.

Next question.

My stepfather was a devout atheist all his life. When I was a kid, he used to mock and verbally abuse anyone who came to the house from church. He died in 1996 at age 61, and I must say that I never-ever-want to be at the deathbed of another athesist as long as I live. This man, who seemed invincible to me and my brothers, had the most abject look of terror in his eyes even with the morphine drip. I couldn't stick around, so I left. He died about an hour after I was gone from the hospital. My mother and her brother were with him when he breathed his last, and moments before he died he asked God to forgive him and save his soul. I'm not sure if I want to know anymore about his status, but when I read some of the really arrogant and downright stupid things the atheists in here write, it just brings back memories of my dad. I can guarentee when their time comes, they'll wish that they hadn't wasted so much time rejecting and ridiculing the "sky-fairy" in life that they now are dreading in death. But hey,- they're "highly educated" and with that comes the natural rejection of God and all belief. What a stupid price to pay. I'm well educated myself, but I'm not going to hedge that reality against the certainty of my own death and of the "other side" just so I can appear in this life to be one of the "rational" ones.

there is no such element as a genuine Atheist. on condition that Atheism exists in basic terms because of the fact faith exists, it isn't any longer self reliant. might you outline your self in accordance with a communique which you disagree with? extra, you advise the destruction of Atheism throughout the destruction of non secular concept given which you think approximately it risky. no one seems to advise the destruction of persons and yet everybody is people who misuse the two technological awareness and faith.

I've looked it up... he didn't die that way.

And pretty much everyone is an atheist unless they truly believe that all gods exist... and I mean ALL gods: http://godchecker.com/

If you don't believe in Quetzalcoatl, that means you're an atheist in regards to Quetzalcoatl. Yep. Atheism isn't "disbelief in the Judeo-Christian deity"... it's defined as "being without belief in the existence of a god or gods".

If you don't believe in Quetzalcoatl, you qualify. If you lack belief in ANY god concept out there, you qualify.

Yes there are true atheists. My husband is one. Even when we were in high school he was an atheist. I asked him one day why and he gave me a very reasonable and logical explanation. After that I never worried about it. I have four kids, all teenagers. My oldest son is still finding his path, my second son is like his dad, my oldest daughter is Southern Baptist and my youngest daughter seems to be following her sister. And I of course am Pagan. You can only imagine holidays at our house. :)

Is there any doubt? We have come to terms with our mortality. We have no hopes we have no fears we are free. Did you know that death is fear most by dying religious people and not feared by atheists. We have statistics on that too. The religious are really uptight about their soul. I'm not uptight about either my atoms(basically indestructible) or my DNA which is traveling on to the future through my children and grand children.

It is impossible to find a person of that kind. The reason is that the person whosoever he/ she may be is basically a soul which is divine. We feel our existence only because of the soul.

We all know ( including the so called atheists ), that we are actually a soul in hiding, and this body when perished will remain here rotten and useless, but our soul will be there somewhere.

"when atheists are in great danger, suddenly they find religion"

Basically - "There are no atheists in fox holes" argument.

It's a load of crap, most people speak of the "poetical" god, that is - when I say "Oh my god" I don't mean anything other than "I am surprised/shocked/amazed!" It's a figure of speech.

The same is true of people who scream "Oh dear god!" or "Oh god! Help me!" they don't necessarily believe in a god or are calling it for help, they are merely expressing common English figures of speech.

Do people just not get this?

"was said to have".... that says it all doesn't it? And what is you theists obsession with Stalin anyway? You know he did not kill for atheism; nobody does. He killed because he was a warped person with a warped ideology.

Is it so hard to believe people don't buy your sky daddy concept? Or do you seriously believe in Zeus, Ra, Odin, the lot of them?

Of course there is. They believe that there is only one life, and that it can be explained through science.

I unfortunately don't have an answer for joseph stalin however, but one man does not stand for a whole group of people.
