So, my husband started night shifts today and this is the first time I've slept without him in 5 years, and I cant sleep, and I keep hearing funny noises in the basement (yes I know it's my imagination) Any suggestions to get me to sleep? I have an exam tommorrow so I need some rest.

Tylenol PM is great for those nights when you can't sleep. Tonight, try a glass of warm milk, and turn the television on to a station that you do not enjoy. This will make you sleepy and block the scary sounds.

1- put on the radio, tv or favorite relaxing cd (lounge, blue, jazz...). that's what I do since i'm 10 years old :)

2- get more pillows : put them where your husband sleep. it will feel less empty.

3- Call your husband when you are in bed. his voice will confort you.

Just give him a call on his cell phone, wish him good night and go to bed. And, don't worry, he will be back tomorrow morning.

Put pillows all around you and get a shirt that has his scent and put it next to you. Then if you can - call him and say goodnight.
