I'd offer to buy everybody a cup of coffee. I hate seeing anyone getting 'smashed' by anyone.

I'd do the same for an atheist.

I'd think of a way to not get smashed. I would learn whatever the Christian didn't know, or try to.

I'd wonder why they were debating to begin with. The apostle Paul said to stay out of foolish arguments and discussions.
You can usually tell if someone really wants to know something or whether they want to argue and debate for the sake of arguing and debating.

Can't see it ever happening as christians have no logical argument to debate.Whenever the fallacies of their religion are pointed out to them they always resort to something along the lines of "That's gods way".
Religious belief is the ultimate form of self denial.

i'd accept any of their opinion. i strongly believe each of us is unique and therefore free to give their personal opinion no matter how contoversial it might be. their opinions might be wrong and mine is not always right. i truly appreciate others' opinions.
