Jesus is patient until you come draw near to Him again. I believe that when someone accepts Jesus Christ, from then on, if they backslide (don't like that term much) then they are just like the prodigal son. He longs for you and will welcome you with open arms when you ask for forgiveness and truly mean it. If you are a lost sheep, he wants you back... He loves you no matter what.

What happens ? Nothing as other people can see!
You still who you are. Don't worry. REAL God never disappeared anyway.

But it is not bad to ask yourself quietly, why did you accepted and why then back slided or what made you accepting and what made you back slide it.
The answer is for yourself because , faith is very private.

Free yourself from being guilty, free yourself from being trapped by heaven and hell idea.

No point being guilty when you dont even know whether you're doing right or wrong anyway. This is about faith , it is not about breaking govt.law. you're not going to jail because of your faith. So...relax. Go inward, find your God freely.

No point scared of hell and want to go to heaven at this stage, you will find it out as times goes by.

Meanwhile just freely doing good things, freely searching and upgrading your knowledge, freely being honest, freely and sincerely helping others especially your parents , strongly run away from anything which is said being forbidden with all the consequences (i.e. your friend is gonna laugh at you) , be greatful for whatever given to you, and believe that anything happen to you is based on your Creator's Care and Love (for) you.

Sure you may not like some of it , accept with grace , you will find the goods behind it.
Well, that is what I do; and I am satisfied.

Religion ??? Find and choose your GOD first , then find out,.... the Religion .
but .......that is my way of searching, you have your free will to find your way.

Depends on which religion (or which individual) you consult. If the word is to be believed, you will be forgiven (since love is forgiveness) if you are truly sorry countless times. But, you don't specify if you have re-accepted Jesus into your life, or if you have totally rejected him as part of your back slide.

But, it will go on your permanent record, no matter what!

You pick yourself up and start again. No one is perfect and never will be. my favorite verse is,Phil. 4:6," For I know that He who has begun a good work in you will carry it through to completion even until the day of Jesus Christ." Things you learn from will help you to help others in the same place one day.

He knows you and loves you, because he knows your heart and once you have received him he will never leave you nor forsake you. I tell myself this to remind me of who I am in Christ, to always treat others as I wish to be treated, and once you know Christ, you will know right from wrong because he lives in us when we want him in our lives, but allows us to go through things to understand him more, and we can never get away from our destiny with Christ once we have received him as our savior, just understand he understands you. But everything takes time, if you didn't back slide how would you understand what you already feel he is trying to do in your life, he shows us in many ways and have faith. You have a personal relationship with him, pray & read your Bible to guide you to scriptures to give you that confirmation of how much he loves you...

For the answer to this question, you should look for what God has to say. Read the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Also, consider King David, a person described as a man after God's own heart. Just look how low he fell when he committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged for her husband to be killed in battle. His sins had devestating consequences and God punished him for them. But in the end, God restored him because of his repentant heart, and He'll do the same for you.

Hebrew 12:6-9;

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

I speak from personal experience Its sad but I've been where you are, and will never go back.

1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Anytime you turn back to God in sincerity, He'll be there to help lift you up. Don't allow anyone else to tell you different.

We need to repent on a daily basis. You haven't done anything that is unforgivable. Just repent, have faith and try again.

God bless.
