would it be true to say that pompeii is located in the city of naples, italy?
i just want to be sure that it's not another city

Yes the volcano Vesuvius is just standing very close to Naples. Also Pompei is in its neighbours (as experienced in the eruption of 79 AD)

No, Pompeii, I mean what was Pompeii 2000 years ago, is near Naples. And the Vezuviu too.

Pompeii was an ancient city, now in ruins, outside of Naples, Italy.

well pompeii isnt exactly in naples, but it is very very close. you can trust me with this because i have been to pompeii and naples. pompeii is very interesting and cool, if you are planning on going. from naples you can see mount vesuvius.

I looked it up for you... "Pompeii is a ruined Roman city near modern Naples in the Italian region of Campania, in the territory of the comune of Pompei."
I wouldnt say it is located in the city of naples... it'd be safer to say near.

Pompei is in the modern town of...Pompei, near, but not in Naples.
