Ironically, I have read it more times as an atheist than I did when I was a Christian.

I read the Bible sometimes.
Sporadically, but when I do get around to dusting it off, I usually read it for a longish time.

It's important because I was raised in a Christian household, and I still consider the Bible to hold a truth that I have not yet let go.

I understand it differently every time I read it, and I don't see any harm in reading a good book.

Yes all the time.
I love it, it is the living Word of God, it contains answers for everything in life, it is like a road map, it shows us how to live and brings us into a closer relationship with God, the Holy Spirit uses it to exhort and convict us.
The first time was the most significant change since after reading it I realized that I needed a savior, so I was changed from a church going non-believer to a church going believer, it changes me continuously because all scripture is profitable for reproof etc...
It is the most important part of my life, besides prayer, fellowship and my friends and family.

Thanks for asking! How about you?

The bible is to the believer what Dick & Jane is to the reader. Once you understand Jesus' message that the kingdom of God is within us, you become a follower of the Spirit of truth within you. The very same Spirit that guided the authors of scripture wants to guide you. This Spirit knows where the inspired scriptures are, what they mean, and how you can best apply them in your life.

I read the bible to be educated on the subject when arguing the logistics and possibilities of a "god". It was a great story very entertaining.

Yes, I read it and studied it. It changed my life. I became a EX-Christian as a direct result of bible study. If I had never studied it I might still be a Christian.

When possible it best to let God's word speak and that is why I quote scripture. I hope it helps you. :o)

By studying the oracles of God I have learned HIS truth and turned from the doctrines of man. I am thankFUL that He choose to give us a "roadmap" back to Him and eternal salvation instead of eternal damnation. :o)

2peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue

The scriptures are like a LIGHTHOUSE BEACON which can guide us OUT of the darkness of THIS world INTO the LIGHT of eternal salvation IF we will STUDY it, ACCEPT it, and OBEY it from our heart. God showed his great love for us by his giving us HIS thought process to guide us to Him.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John17:17

2ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:2ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

"The word of God is quick and powerful (living and active), and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Heb. 4: 12)

The gospel is the POWER of God unto salvation (Rom. 1:16).

Trying to teach about GOD/CHRIST/or the HOLY SPIRIT without the bible would be like trying to be a carpenter without a hammer.

I have tried to read it everyday for years.
God is real and His Word is true.
I can have more peace and blessing.
Try reading through it one time.

I flipped through it a few times, found it was full of crap.

Now I spend my time devoted to the female body, and I've been rewarded 10 times over in bed. It's true. God is a woman.

That's how the Bible changed my life. Thank God.
