Some kids start preschool at 2 1/2 to three. Elementary school-kindergarten is between age 4 and 6 and yes they have buses. YOU just have to call the school district and find out all of the particulars as well as getting your child enrolled in school.

they only bus for elementary or kindergarten if it is in an elementary school. the average 1st grader is 6 to 7 years old. You can get on the bus to takee your child to school you know the public bus. Also the parent with the car can take them or if they work a weird schedule on parent can take the other to work and have the car all day and tak the child to school, pick them up and pick up the other parent in whatever order works. Most schools have after school programs so they can stay there later until someone can pick them up

Headstart will take children around 4 years of age, contact your local school district to see if Headstart is available through the public school district in your area. Other than that unless you pay for private preschool your child will wait until Kindergarten to start school. Most public schools have transportation available for Headstart children or for K-12. Most private programs do not have a bus program for preschoolers.

I knew a boy that was 4 years old and in Head Start. There was a bus that transported him to school, but his mom picked him up (I don't know if that was a personal preference or if they just didn't have a return bus trip at the end of the day).

Most school districts provide bus transportation for elementary kids. If you live a certain distance from the school. It depends on the district but usually it is provided if you live more than a mile or two from school or outside of reasonable walking distance. It probably depends on the funding the school receives, poorer areas may not provide as much transportation.
