Im 18 and ive been talking to a girl that is 15. She is a reallynice girl. I seem to like her alot and we have alot in common. Is she to young to start dating, or not. I dont want the sex and all i just really like this girl. It seems like we can just do nothing and as long as we are together playing pool in the garage for 4 hours we are having the time of our life. What do you think?

You actually made me smile. You seem to be a very responsible guy so there's no harm for you to date the girl. I think 15 is an ok age for a girl to start dating as long as the guy can be trusted and knows the limits of dating. So go ahead and ask her out. But since she's an underage, just make sure that her parents will always know where you're both going.

Certainly 3 years separation is not too great. But the distance between 189 and 15 is much greater than 28 and 25. Right now, the age difference can land you in jail if you have sex with her. Her parents might object to any dating. If you have fun together and parents don't object, and you stay far away from sex, then go for it. But that means no dances, no movies, no long drives, etc. As soon as you start "touchie-feelie",you're in trouble. Assuming you have the normal arrangement of hormones, you'll be wanting to jump her bones in no time. She's probably comfortable with waiting on the sex but would probably go along just to make you happy. That's the danger I see. So be careful.

DANGEROUS. Even if nothing happens, you can be accused of having sex with her and end up doing prison time. It's happened to others. Only see her in public places where there are other people around. I think the age difference is too great. Once you're over 18, you can be prosecuted for dating younger kids: that's why they're called "jail bait."

It is kind of young, but if you think about it this way.
Most people graduated high school at 18.
You are a SENIOR
she is probably a SOMPHMORE becoming a JUNIOR.
So if you think about it that way, the gap doesn't seem that bad. Just get to know her family and let them know. My boyfriend is 4 years older and we started dating when I was 16. So it just depends ont he people.
Age only matters now because when you are 47 and she is 44.. It won't matter at all.

I think love is love. And the law is the law. Make the right choice for you, but I can guarentee you, you two are at way different stages of your lives. Personally, I think that there are going to be various problems, and come on do you really mean a no sex relationship? If it's true love, go with your heart. But if you pressure her into doing anything she doesn't like, I hope some is there to punch you in the nose. I sort of think you are to old for her.

don't worry, when I was 18, I liked a freshman who was 14.
It's really no big deal. I got over it. The law cares too much anyway! Three years isn't as big as people say it is.
I'm 23 and I've gone out with people three years older than me (back when I was 19).

It isn't the years between you two that are a problem. Keep you cloths on and you should be ok. I think age of consent is 16 in most states. You better be real sure her parents like you if your going to chance it.

While "love is love" Statutoy rape is a real possibility....Do you like this girl enough to register with ththe local law enforcement agency as a "sexual offender for the next 15 or so years or branded a sexual preditor? This is a real possibility

Just think about it. Next year, if not this year, you will be in college. It's a little weird for a college guy to date a girl that much younger than him. I would say she is too young. There are plenty of girls in college that are your age.
